BMW X3
X3 2.0i: New entry-level engine with four cylinders.
Introducing the new X3 2.0i, BMW now offers an additional attractive entry-level model into the BMW X family over and above the X3 2.0d.
The revised and upgraded 2.0-litre four-cylinder develops maximum output of 110 kW/150 bhp, with peak torque of 200 Nm/147 lb-ft at 3 750 rpm.
Equipped with BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the X3 2.0i accelerates to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds and has a top speed of 198 km/h or 123 mph. Fuel consumption in the EU cycle is a modest 9.3 ltr/100 km, equal to 30.4 mpg Imp.
This new model comes as standard with all-season 235/55 tyres running on 17-inch light-alloy rims. Apart from the xDrive all-wheel-drive system, DSC, DBC (Dynamic Brake Control) and CBC (Cornering Brake Control) as well as the two-stage Adaptive Brake Display all act together to ensure an enhanced standard of active safety. And last but not least, the X3 2.0i comes as standard with BMW’s Trailer Stability Management as well as Hill Descent Control (HDC).

BMW X3 3.0d: More diesel power and enhanced agility.
Maximum output of the 3.0-litre straight-six common rail diesel is up 10 kW/14 bhp to 160 kW/218 hp. Peak torque, in turn, is increasing by an even more significant 90 Nm to no less than 500 Nm or 369 lb-ft.
And as an alternative to the six-speed manual gearbox featured as standard, six-speed automatic transmission is available as an option as of autumn.
The increase in engine power obviously reflects on the road performance of the X3 3.0d, with acceleration to 100 km/h now coming 0.5 seconds faster than before in just 7.4 seconds. Being fitted with all-season tyres, the X3 3.0d is limited in its maximum speed to 210 km/h or 130 mph.
Despite this increase in power and performance, the new and extra-powerful three-litre diesel model consumes 0.5 litres less than before, making do with just 7.9 ltr/100km in the combined EU cycle (equal to 35.8 mpg Imp).
Starting in September, the two X3 3.0d and X3 2.0d diesel versions will be fitted as standard with a diesel particle filter to fulfil the EU4 emission norm.
