BMW 1 Series:
The BMW 130i.
Starting in autumn, the new top model in the BMW 1 Series, the 130i, is enlarging
BMW’s overall model range. And indeed, the new 3.0-litre straight-six (195
kW/265 hp, 315 Nm/232 lb-ft) offers truly outstanding performance in the compact
segment.
The BMW 130i accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds, with top speed limited
electronically to 250 km/h or 155 mph. On the road, only the 17-inch rims in V-spoke
design, chrome-plated bars in the BMW kidney grille, and the dual exhaust pipes
with chrome-plated tail ends show the connoisseur that this is a very special
BMW 1 Series.
Beginning this autumn, the BMW 1 Series is also available with the BMW Assist
telematics function and the BMW Online mobile internet portal. And last but certainly
not least, BMW’s Adaptive Headlights are now also available in the compact
range.
Starting in September 2005, BMW offers the new M Sports Package in all 1 Series,
comprising not only the M sports suspension, but also M double-spoke light-alloy
wheels (17 or 18 inches) with different-sized tyres front and rear as well as
the Aerodynamics Package in body colour.
Inside the car, features such as sports seats, the M leather steering wheel, M
footrest and entry trim strips in BMW M Design as well as special aluminium trim
strips ensure a supreme touch of exquisite sportiness and style.
