The First 6 cylinder
Nowadays all series have a 6 cylinder powered BMW, like the 320i or the 528i. So the first one deserves a place on this site.
At the car show in Berlin in 1933 the BMW 303 didn't only begin a new phase in history of cars, but also had to give the factory in Eisenach a new aspect.
BMW was now on the way to book successes in the car sector as in the motorbike and the plane engine branch.

At this BMW 303 from 1933 you can see - indeed in increasingly smaller shape - the characteristically radiator grille.

BMW 315/1
The - in that time - very excitingly styled car, the 315/1, stands for the first sports car every built by BMW.
Because of the 1490 cc 6 cylinder engine with 3 carburetors, the car was also very suitable for racing on circuits.		 Image
