the owner of the car had just got divorced and she decided that she wanted the car, she couldn't afford to maintain it and well i bought it off of her for cheap

so far though it has cost quite a bit, and i'm stuck waiting/looking for parts

as soon as i have some time i'll take some pics!

Nice! Fun car to drive around in!
Like to see some pictures...

So, how many cars do you have now? And is your garage big enough Smiley?

Good luck on finding those parts, if you need any help, let me know!

well right now i've got 2 cars and a truck, both cars need work, so plenty of room as long as my truck doesn't break,, lol

well i seem to be narrowing to search down, all i'm missing now seems to be a passenger mirror, door lock actuator, wiper linkage, iac boot

as long as i can get the car running soon i'll be happy

i'll take some pics when i start working on it, most likely this week

Are you going to leave it standard? or are you planning on some engine tuning or exterior pimping?
And what kind of wheels are you looking for?

Looking forward to the pics!

as of right now i'm setting up a cardomain account (damn 1 pic upload), i'll be sending the link soon

as for the car, having it repainted white, smoke the turn signals and fogs, looking at either a set of 17" bmw 5 stlye, or style 32, sound system, hid's, and cutout some fender turn signals

but for the meantime i'm just gonna get it running, lol

Woohoo looking good! Engine looks great as well (i like the old m20's!)
What's more to do about the car? I see a lot of parts Wink

Owh, one thing I didn't really like: the white front grille... are you going to keep it in white?

don't worry i hate the white grill as well, thats getting painted first

as for mechanical, there isn't much to do to get the car running, but since i'm already working on it, might as well change most of the things that will cause problems down the road

well it's quite a big list (about 2 pages long), so i'm not gonna write it all

but for the basics, i'm changing most of the gaskets, filters, new hoses all around, tune up, stereo, some wiring issues, changing all the fluids, changing the wheels, body work, repainting the car, etc....

pretty much changing everything that should be replaced (car has close to 300k)

i'll be updating my cardomain account as i progress, plus updates here!!   Grin

alright as for an update of the car, haven't really touched it in a while, i ended up blowing the transmission (4hp22)
i only realized after the fact that these trannies are made of glass and the "a clutch pack" burnt because of no pressure relief valve/ the clutches stay pressurized after you put the car in gear, and don't relieve pressure untill you wait 30 secs and restart the car and make sure you don't change gears, oh yeah and you can't let the car rev while in park or neutral

hmm guess i was sitting around too much showing off the engine, revving too high, and i guess launching from neutral doesn't help tickedoff idiot

but at least i know now, nothing beats a manual 5 speed getrag  Tongue

hopefully the parts won't be too expensive and i'll be able to get it done this weekend

never rebuilt a transmission before, hmm we'll see how it goes Cheesy

Hi Wyze!
nice to see you again.
Too bad you blew the tranny, but good that you are going for the manual getrag 260!
The weekend is almost over, so how did the rebuild go?
