Well as a new member i would like to say a word or 2 about my sevener. Evil

I am a proud owner of a:
1993 E-32 . It runs on 8 cillindress so it has an M60 Engine.
3 litre V8 with 218 HP. I have now a new ZF5HP18 automatic gearbox.
The original was worn down so i replaced it. Also i had unluckelly a minor acident with it so i repaired it and putted a new color on it.
Original it was silver but now it is metallic pearl black. The colour is an original Mercedes-Benz S klasse pearl black and it is for now the most mettalic black colour on the market.
The interieour has black leather seats with buttheating Cheesy
Some wallnutt wood decoration. Electrical son protection on the rear glass and on the rear dors.
It has also ASR and PDC .It has now over 400,000 km down and it runs just perfect.
The fuel consuption is now about 13-litres per 100km due to the tires which i have now on the car.In the front there are 235-45-17 and the rear tires are 255-40-17.
All are Bridgestone potenza.

So here are some pictures of my beauty Wink

I am sorry 4 my bad english but with time i will polish it up.
BTW.........Cool site Illir  cool respect Wink

Hi pero,
Really great to have you as a member, and as I can see on your numberplates, you probably got here through bmwslo.com!?
You really got a smooth ride there, haven't seen those rims before, really nice like that.
A seven is always a comfort for the owner, and reading your story, it treats you like a king!
I'm currently looking into some more articles, if you want to write an article about your car, and upload pictures in the gallery, just send me a mail or private message!
Hope to see you around here sometimes (or more!)
Take care, Ilir

I also own a 1991 730i, but when I bought the car it did not come with an owners manual.  So now I do not understand all the features that it ofers.  Can anyone give me a better understanding of the switch by the shifter, it goes between ms se. Also there is an arm under the steering culom that I do not know what it goes to.

Hi Chicog,
The lever underneath the steeringwheel should be there to adjust the steeringcolumn, once you pull the lever down, you can adjust the steeringwheel by pulling it towards you, or pushing it away from you.
The switch at the shifter is for the electronic-hydrolic transmission, which has 3 different shift programs:
E: Economy -> press switch
S: Sports -> push switch in
M: Manual

You can download your whole manual here:
part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4 and part 5
Thanks to Johan & Sean's E32 page

Hy!

I understand you have also a 730i. Yes but a 730 is not always the same 730.
You have a 1991 so it is an inline 6 cillindres and due to the specs. you have a automatic transmision ZF 4 HP 22 so it is a 4 gear box.
So the switch stands for
E-economic
S-Sport
And the last it is not M as for manual but it is standing for * so the star means winter programm and so in that program you have only 3 gears but those 3 are longer so that your driving wheels do not slip on the snow.
Your modell i think didnt have the ASR system yet.

I own a 730 allright but it is a 8 cillindress made 93.
The 8 cillindres came out in the late 92 with a new automatic gearbox and the ASR system. The gearbox has the number ZF 5 HP18 and those have the M letter as for manuall shifting.

But anyhow.........i wish you a lot of km with your 730i. It is also a faboulos car.

Take care

Peter
