FOR SALE: 1985 BMW 318i
146,100 miles
4 cylinder - manual transmission
I recently purchased this BMW 318i. The body is in very good condition.
It runs good but will eventually need some work:
The previous owner replaced the following items:
*New tires
*new brake pads front and rear
*new front brake rotors
*new ignition wires, plugs, distributor cap
*new oxygen sensor
*new drive shaft guibos (BMW's verison of U-Joints)
*new shift lever bushings
*new front suspension bushings
*new rear shocks and bushings
*new clutch slave cylinder
*rebuild front brake calipers
*replaced the exhaust manifold
*replaced the turn signal switch
Now for the bad news - according to the mechanic who recently examined the vehicle:
*Drive belts are touching each other because the power steering mount bushings are bad.
*The underbody of the car is rusty.
*The engine thermostat opens too cold.
*Hood release cable is broken.
*Suspect that the transmission is bad.
*Windshield washers work slowly
*There are multiple oil leaks.
*The transmission leaks.
*The back seat is worn
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Call or email me if you are interested, want pics, or have further questions.
