Dont know about cleaning, but you might try to get the filter yourself and get it installed at another dealer?
Here is the part: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HM42&mospid=48816&btnr=18_0594&hg=18&fg=10&hl=2&lang=en

Hi

I just had a look around, and it seems that there is indeed a difference between Argentina e90 320i's and European ones. In Europe we have them with 170 HP (N43 B20 O0). Doesn't seem that the engine of your e90 is in my database (which hasn't been updated in about 10 months, don't have the time...)

If you have a look on the bmw argentina website, and download the brochure for your car, you can find all the information you need:
http://www.bmw.com.ar/showroom_latin_america/es/newvehicles/3series/sedan/2008/allfacts/catalogue/catalogue.html

Have fun with your new car!

Hi!

i´m new to the BMW universe. I´m from Argentina
I´ve just purchased a brand new E90 320i and i have a doubt regarding the engine.
What is the engine of my car? It was constructed in october 2009 and is still on the ship onboard to argentina.

- N43 B20 O0 125kW / 170HP @ 6700rpm  /Torque 210Nm

OR

- N46 B20 110kW / 150HP @ 6200rpm  / Torque 200Nm

Because the dealer gave me a pdf with the specs and said that the engine has 156HP. But browsing your excellent database found other data.
Which is the engine of my car?
It is possible that for cars destined to overseas locations the engine should differ?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I am in the process of fitting a M57 3.0 diesel out of a 2002 E39 5 Series into my 1988 land rover defender. I am trying to find out what the flow rate and max pressure of the power steering pump is to see if it will work with my land rover power steering box. Anyone know any details of the pumps that may help me??

Ta,

Adrian

Okay I'm new to this BMW stuff and more or less I live in America but overseas right now military and own my first BMW.  It's a 1991 BMW 520I from what I can tell so what is wierd is on the dash board it shows Diesel where the gas gauge is.  My question is I know diesels don't have spark plugs and while looking at this car I don't see any either.  I would assume its gas since the guy I bought it don't remember putting diesel in it and said it was wierd that it showed that but of course when we get gas here in Italy you just pull up to the pump and they put it in for you.  I think what the gas cap shows is something like Super Gas needs to be in like what we would call Super Unleaded back in the states.  Also on top of that I have a over heating problem.  My lower hose is warm not hot but somewhat hard and the top hose on radiator is Hard and Hot, I flushed the radiator seems fine so my guess is the thermostat is bad since well car don't have AC that I know of so when I run the heat on high don't seem like its very hot when car warms ups and its hot outside so I know the heat will be hot.  Can anyone tell me if that is what my problem is or any other ideas to look for.  Thanks.

Hello,

I am looking to get a  97, 98 or 99  manual convertible.

Given the age and mileages what advice could anyone give me on engine size.  323i  or 3181i  ?

Don't need a speed machine, just something that will give me relaible cruising....  8k miles per year.

Any other buying points  gratefully rec'd... for example would a manual hood be more prudent that electric ( preferred).

Thanks

Well, that's a hard question...
You could try someone else at AC Schnitzer, maybe someone with a great history with ACS knows best (try: susanne.muellejans@ac-schnitzer.de)
Another option would be to check the VIN number...
I also found another ACS3 (1998) on internet with lots of pictures and info (maybe you could contact the owner): http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2976827

I hope this will help you.
Keep me up to date!

Hey guys,
I'm  hoping someone can tell me where to look to confirm(or otherwise) if my 1990 325 ACS3 is a genuine factory example.

All BMW NZ can tell me is that the build sheet does not list ANY options which in their opinion could indicate the car went straight to ACS.
ACS Germany have told me they do not keep records of their modified vehicles.Odd?

FYI the car has the following extras(all genuine):
Full aero kit including is lip & boot spoiler
Style 2 15" rims
ACS steering wheel
Upgraded brakes,suspension,ecu
Any help you can offer in my grand quest is greatly appreciated Smiley
