Title: Heated Seats
Post by: 7.dogs on December 26, 2007, 11:52:17 am
Have just bought a 330d touring and in this cold weather I miss my heated seats that I had on my 530d. Has anyone ever had a retro fit done at a reasonable price.  BMW say I have to replace the seat covers (leather) with new ones which have the elements attached plus the wiring and switching and labour @?100 per hour - costs a bomb.  Any suggestions apart from buy a hot water bottle!

What do you think about aftermarket seat heating?
It's not too expensive and you can install it yourself (you probably have to be handy somehow).
Found this site: http://www.heatedseatkits.com/heatedseatkits/index.html and found a howto (for old BMW's) here:

Good luck on it, if you have questions, shoot...

Thanks for the links - when this holiday ends I will do some further investigation.
