New pinnacle for 3 Series Touring
The BMW 335i Touring represents a new pinnacle for the 3 Series Touring range. Never before has BMW produced such a powerful, yet economical, compact estate car capable of carrying five adults and all their luggage. Its introduction into the 3 Series Touring range at the same time as a twin-turbo diesel powered model completes a line-up that stretches from 2.0-litre petrol and diesel entry-level cars all the way to the two twin-turbocharged flagship variants offering the widest range of possible choice for the customer.

BMW is the world’s first car maker to present a hydrogen-drive car which
has successfully completed the process of series development in Europe:
Featuring a hydrogen combustion engine, the BMW Hydrogen 7 is the result of a consistent development strategy now rendering this trendsetting
concept of sustained mobility fully suitable in today’s world.
The BMW 7 Series Hydrogen 7 is powered by a 191 kW/260 hp twelve-cylinder and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 230 km/h or 143 mph. Should the hydrogen supply dwindle, the dual-mode power unit featured in the BMW Hydrogen 7 switches over quickly and conveniently to conventional premium gasoline.
By offering the world this highly practical solution, BMW is demonstrating its technological leadership in the area of future-oriented drive systems. Furthermore, the integration of hydrogen drive into an existing vehicle concept, already proven with merit in the vehicle market, paves the way for an alternative to conventional drive concepts fully accepted in the market with all the assets the customer is looking for in practice.

The AC Schnitzer TENSION: Street Version

The IAA 2005 saw the much-observed premiere of the Concept Car AC Schnitzer TENSION based on BMW M6. The positive reception together with huge demand for this unique vehicle persuaded AC Schnitzer to include in their range a road-going version, limited to 50 examples, for conversion from the 630i - M6 model. After just 11 months of development and testing, they now present the AC Schnitzer
TENSION Street Version.
Naturally the "small brother" could not be a 1 : 1 copy of the Concept Car, as the TENSION is a technology showcase which demonstrates what is technically feasible. In contrast, the TENSION Street Version had to incorporate suitability for everyday use with no loss of driving pleasure or reliability.

The all-new 2006 BMW X5 e70

Seven years after its 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show debut, BMW is pleased to announce the arrival of an all-new X5 Sports Activity Vehicle that aims to redefine its class courtesy of an enviable list of firsts. The new BMW X5 is the world’s first SAV to be offered with Head-up Display and an active suspension system - BMW’s Adaptive Drive package. It is the first SAV that can be specified with Active Steering for unsurpassed manoeuvrability and the first to be shod with Run-flat tyres for added safety. It is also the first BMW to offer a third row of seats for added practicality.
